LeBron James makes NBA history with unprecedented career milestone

LeBron James, one of the most iconic figures in NBA history, has reached yet another monumental achievement. In the Los Angeles Lakers’ 140-126 home victory over the Utah Jazz, James once again became the center of basketball conversations—not merely for his performance, but for the historic records he shattered.

Returning to the starting lineup for the first time this season after recovering from injury, the 40-year-old star posted 11 points and 12 assists, contributing effectively on both ends of the floor. The offensive explosion, however, was ignited by Luka Doncic, who delivered a brilliant 37-point, 10-assist performance.

Yet the true headline belonged to James. With this game, he officially became the first and only player in NBA history to play 23 seasons, surpassing Vince Carter and cementing his unmatched longevity in the league.

James also knocked down two three-pointers in the first half, passing Reggie Miller to climb to sixth place on the NBA’s all-time three-pointers made list. The four-time NBA champion extended his remarkable streak of consecutive double-digit scoring games to 1293, reaffirming his status as the model of consistency.

In a striking generational contrast, Utah’s Keyonte George—born just 10 days after James played his first NBA game—lit up the scoreboard with 34 points, while Lauri Markkanen added 31 points for the Jazz.

With every record he breaks, LeBron James continues not only to elevate his own legacy but also to reshape the history and future of basketball.
