Some sources speculate a potential delay into 2027, while others suggest a release alongside or shortly after the iPhone 18 Pro lineup in September 2026. The most balanced interpretation indicates that Apple may compensate for early delays by accelerating later production phases.

In terms of expected specifications, the foldable iPhone is rumored to feature a book-style design with a 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.8-inch inner screen, adopting a 4:3 aspect ratio. Performance is expected to be powered by Apple’s next-generation A20 chip, supported by 12GB of RAM and a 5000mAh battery. A dual 48MP camera system is anticipated, while Touch ID may replace Face ID as the primary biometric solution.
