Ferrari Pays Tribute to History: The F1 2026 SF-26 Unveiled at Fiorano

Scuderia Ferrari HP has officially revealed the livery of its 2026 Formula 1 car, the SF-26, during a shakedown run at the Fiorano test circuit. The unveiling was carried out through a short but highly anticipated live broadcast on Ferrari’s official YouTube channel.

Compared to last year, the SF-26 introduces two striking visual changes. First, Ferrari’s iconic red has been reimagined in a lighter and brighter shade, giving the car a fresher appearance. In addition, the white color surrounding the cockpit and covering the front section of the engine cover stands out as a bold design choice. These white elements are far from random—they are intended to evoke a glorious era in Ferrari’s rich racing heritage.

The new livery clearly references the legendary Ferrari 312 T, the car that carried Niki Lauda to the world championship in 1975. In this sense, the SF-26 is not just a new challenger, but also a symbolic bridge between Ferrari’s illustrious past and its ambitions for the future.

And Ferrari’s ambition is crystal clear: to end an 18-year world championship drought. With the SF-26, the team aims to reset expectations and reignite its championship spirit.

The 2025 season, however, was far from ideal for the Maranello-based squad. Ferrari finished the year without a single race win and ended up fourth in the constructors’ standings—a result that fell well short of the team’s historic standards. The SF-26 now represents hope, renewal, and a determined push back toward the top of Formula 1.
