Samsung Galaxy A37 and A57 Revealed: What’s New on the Camera Front?

Samsung is preparing to expand its lineup shortly after unveiling the flagship Galaxy S26 series, turning its attention to the mid-range segment with the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57. While both devices are expected to feature new processors, recent leaks suggest that camera improvements will be one of the key highlights of these upcoming models.

It has already been known that both phones will sport a 50 MP main rear camera and a 12 MP front-facing camera. New reports, however, provide deeper insight into the sensor choices and upgrades. The Galaxy A37 is set to receive a larger 50 MP main sensor compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy A36. Measuring 1/1.56 inches and equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS), this sensor aims to deliver better low-light performance and more stable shots. Samsung appears to be sticking with a familiar setup for the supporting cameras, as the 8 MP ultra-wide and 5 MP macro lenses from the previous model are expected to remain unchanged.

On the Galaxy A57 side, the main camera setup remains largely the same as the Galaxy A56, featuring a 1/1.56-inch 50 MP sensor with OIS. The notable upgrade comes in the ultra-wide camera, which sees a bump from 12 MP to 13 MP. While modest on paper, this enhancement could result in improved detail capture for wide-angle shots. The device will also include a 5 MP macro camera and a 12 MP selfie camera. Unfortunately for photography enthusiasts, earlier hopes for a telephoto lens do not seem to be materializing with this model.

According to the leaked specifications, both the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 will support 4K video recording at 30 fps using both the main rear camera and the front-facing camera. This capability places them in a strong position within the mid-range market, especially for users interested in video creation. In addition, Samsung is expected to continue offering its Super HDR feature, based on Google’s Ultra HDR format, delivering richer colors, higher contrast, and a wider dynamic range in both photos and videos.
