The long wait is finally over for iPad enthusiasts. After over 15 years, Meta has officially released a dedicated WhatsApp application for iPad users via the App Store. With this launch, users can now enjoy a more immersive and practical messaging experience on the larger screen of the iPad.
The iPad version of WhatsApp includes most of the core features found on the iPhone app. Users can participate in voice and video calls with up to 32 participants, use both front and rear cameras, and even share their screens during calls — making group communication and remote meetings more productive.
Moreover, the app supports essential iPadOS multitasking features such as Stage Manager, Split View, and Slide Over. This allows users to run WhatsApp side-by-side with other apps, greatly enhancing multitasking capabilities.
Before this release, those wishing to use WhatsApp on an iPad had to rely on the browser-based WhatsApp Web or the desktop application designed for Mac/PC. Now, with this native app, iPad users can access a full WhatsApp experience directly on their device.
