The electric Nissan Micra: A new chapter begins

After a two-year hiatus, Nissan's iconic city car, the Micra, makes a strong comeback in its sixth generation—now available exclusively as an electric vehicle. With a fresh design and a driving range exceeding 400 kilometers, the all-new Micra aims to redefine urban mobility.

Built on the AmpR Small platform—shared with models like the Renault 5 and Twingo—the Micra carries Renault DNA in its engineering. Its smooth, modern lines are enhanced by retro-style round daytime running lights and tail lamps, offering a blend of contemporary aesthetics and nostalgic design cues.

Inside, the Micra features a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment and digital cluster, coupled with a stylish three-spoke steering wheel. The infotainment system is powered by a Google-based interface and supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Remote connectivity is enabled through the NissanConnect app, giving users modern convenience at their fingertips.

The electric Micra is offered with two battery options: 40 kWh and 52 kWh, delivering WLTP ranges of 310 km and 408 km, respectively. Thanks to 100 kW DC fast charging, the battery can go from 15% to 80% in just 30 minutes. With its V2L (Vehicle to Load) capability, it can also power external devices. Depending on the configuration, the motor power ranges between 90 kW and 110 kW. The new Micra EV will hit European markets later this year, although pricing details have yet to be announced.

Following the electric Micra, Nissan plans to expand its EV lineup with upcoming electric versions of the Leaf, Juke, and Qashqai.
