F1: Max Verstappen becomes a father

Formula 1 superstar Max Verstappen made headlines this week not for his on-track performance, but for a very special personal milestone. The Red Bull driver was notably absent from Thursday’s press conferences ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, an absence officially approved by the FIA. While no formal explanation was given at the time, many speculated it was due to the imminent arrival of his first child.

Today, Max Verstappen and his partner Kelly Piquet confirmed via social media that they have welcomed their first child into the world. The couple announced the birth of a baby girl, whom they have named Lily.

Following the birth, Verstappen traveled to Miami and is expected to participate in this weekend’s race sessions. With this joyous occasion, the reigning world champion begins a new chapter in life — not only as one of the sport’s dominant figures but now also as a father.
