F1 2024 Hungarian GP: Piastri takes first victory, Norris second, Hamilton on podium!

The 13th race of the Formula 1 season, the Hungarian Grand Prix, saw McLaren’s Oscar Piastri claim victory. This win marked Piastri’s first career F1 victory. Lando Norris, also from McLaren, finished second, while Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton secured third place on the podium.

One of the most notable moments of the race was the team radio instructing Lando Norris repeatedly to give his position to Oscar Piastri. Despite these instructions, Norris continued to increase his lead, extending it to six seconds.

Finally, following a firm team order, Norris slowed down in lap 68, allowing his teammate Piastri to take the lead. Thus, Piastri secured his first race victory, with Norris finishing second and Hamilton taking third place.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc finished fourth, while Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, who battled with Hamilton, ended up fifth. The top 10 was completed by Carlos Sainz, Sergio Perez, George Russell, Yuki Tsunoda, and Lance Stroll.

With this race, Lewis Hamilton reached his 200th career podium, marking another significant milestone in his illustrious career.
