Apple introduces RCS support with iOS 18 to iPhones

Apple has added the option to enable RCS (Rich Communication Services) messaging with the second beta release of iOS 18. While RCS messaging is not yet available in Turkey, some iPhone users report that they can use the feature.

Some users who have installed iOS 18 have started sharing screenshots showing that they can send RCS messages to Android users. Instead of SMS/MMS, RCS-based texts are labeled with an “RCS” tag.

With the RCS support brought by the iOS 18 update, iPhone users can share higher-resolution photos and videos, send larger files, send voice messages, see typing and read receipts, send messages over cellular or WiFi, and participate in more advanced group chats with Android users.

RCS messaging can be enabled in the Messages section of the Settings app and is turned on by default.
