Samsung Unveils Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 8

Samsung has officially introduced its latest generation of foldable smartphones, unveiling the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8. The new lineup brings significant upgrades in display technology, performance, artificial intelligence capabilities, and durability while continuing the company's push to redefine the premium foldable smartphone market.

Designed for different user preferences, the new devices combine powerful hardware with slimmer designs and enhanced everyday usability.

Galaxy Z Flip 8 focuses on portability

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 continues Samsung's clamshell foldable concept with several notable improvements.

The device features a 6.9-inch 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display alongside a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED cover screen for quick access to notifications and essential functions.

Powered by Samsung's Exynos 2600 processor, the smartphone includes a 4,300mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.

Photography is handled by a dual-camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide camera, while a 10MP front-facing camera supports AI-enhanced selfies and video calls.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 offers a balanced foldable experience

Samsung's newly introduced Galaxy Z Fold 8 sits between the Flip and Ultra models, offering a slimmer design and a nearly invisible display crease.

The device features a 7.6-inch 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X internal display and a 5.5-inch 120Hz external screen.

Performance is powered by the Galaxy-exclusive Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with a 4,800mAh battery supporting 45W fast charging.

The rear camera system includes a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, delivering flagship-level photography in a more compact foldable form factor.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra leads the lineup

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra serves as Samsung's most advanced foldable smartphone to date.

It features an 8-inch 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner display and a 6.5-inch 120Hz cover display with a significantly reduced crease compared to previous generations.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, the Ultra packs a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging.

Its triple-camera system includes:

  • 200MP main camera
  • 50MP ultra-wide camera
  • 10MP 3x telephoto camera

A 10MP selfie camera is also included for video calls and self-portraits.

AI-powered features and Flex Titanium technology

All three smartphones come equipped with Google's Gemini-powered AI features, bringing advanced productivity, communication, and personalization tools directly to users.

Samsung has also introduced its new Flex Titanium display structure, designed to improve durability while making foldable devices thinner.

According to the company, the titanium-based display support enhances structural strength, minimizes crease visibility, and works together with a redesigned hinge mechanism to create a smoother and more natural folding experience.

The devices are also IP48-rated for dust and water resistance.

Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman and Head of Device Experience TM Roh stated that AI is becoming increasingly central to mobile devices and that Samsung aims to deliver more personalized experiences while expanding access to next-generation foldable technology.
