The Icon Goes Electric: New Nissan Juke Revealed
Japanese automotive giant Nissan has officially unveiled the all-electric version of the Nissan Juke during its Vision event. This launch marks a significant step in the company’s electrification strategy, particularly in the European market.
First introduced in 2010, the Juke quickly stood out with its bold and unconventional design, reaching over 1.5 million users across Europe. The new generation aims to preserve that distinctive identity while transitioning fully into the electric era.
Familiar Design Meets Future Tech
The electric Juke maintains its compact proportions, agile driving dynamics, and signature design language. Nissan’s goal is clear: retain the model’s personality while adapting it to a zero-emission future.
Although official specifications have not yet been disclosed, the vehicle is expected to share its powertrain with the Nissan Leaf. This suggests potential battery options of 52 kWh and 75 kWh, with a possible driving range exceeding 600 kilometers under WLTP standards.
Built in Sunderland
Production of the new model will take place at Nissan’s Sunderland plant in the United Kingdom. This facility plays a key role in the company’s global EV strategy and has already proven its capabilities through the production of the Leaf.
Launch Timeline
The all-electric Nissan Juke is expected to hit the market in spring 2027. With its strong legacy and new electric foundation, the model is poised to become a serious contender in the compact electric SUV segment.
Nissan’s move not only reinforces its commitment to electrification but also reimagines one of its most iconic models for the future.
