Apple is gearing up for what Bloomberg's Mark Gurman describes as the iPhone's boldest transformation ever, outshining icons like the iPhone 4, 6, and X. Unveiled in his Power On newsletter, this foldable marvel adopts a book-style hinge, akin to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold lineup, delivering a spacious inner display perfect for immersive videos, gaming, and seamless multitasking.

Expect a roughly 7.7-inch inner panel paired with a 5.3-inch outer one, though whispers suggest tweaks to 7.8 and 5.5 inches. Teaming with Samsung, Apple engineered a crease-minimizing screen where touch layers embed directly into the glass, slashing thickness by about 19%. Slimmer than ever, it'll swap Face ID for Touch ID, run on the A20 chip via TSMC's 2nm node, and sport dual rear and front cameras.

Set for a September reveal with the iPhone 18 Pro duo, shipments will lag behind—potentially by weeks or months, echoing the iPhone X's rocky debut.
