Dacia Introduces the New Striker: A C-Segment Contender Built in Türkiye

Romanian automaker Dacia has officially unveiled its upcoming model, the Dacia Striker. The new vehicle is particularly significant for Türkiye, as it will be produced at the Oyak Renault manufacturing facility in Bursa.

The Striker will be one of four new models planned for production at the Bursa plant and is expected to compete in the C-segment SUV/crossover category.

For now, the company has only revealed the vehicle’s exterior design, with a full official unveiling scheduled for the summer.

Design Inspired by Renault Rafale

The front design of the Striker appears to draw inspiration from the Renault Rafale.

It features Dacia’s latest design language, including the brand’s new LED headlight signature and a modern front grille. The sculpted hood further strengthens the vehicle’s bold and muscular appearance.

The Longest Dacia Yet

According to the first specifications released by the company, the Striker will measure 4.62 meters in length. This would make it even longer than the Dacia Bigster, potentially becoming the longest vehicle in Dacia’s lineup.

This size places the Striker firmly within the competitive C-segment SUV class.

Electrified Powertrain Options

Dacia plans to offer fully electrified powertrain choices for the new model.

Initial reports suggest the lineup will include:

  • A standard hybrid powertrain
  • A 4x4 hybrid version
  • An LPG-compatible engine option

This strategy reflects Dacia’s ongoing focus on delivering efficient and affordable powertrain solutions.

Competitive Pricing Strategy

Dacia is widely known for its strong value-for-money positioning, and the Striker appears to continue that tradition.

The company is targeting a starting price of around €25,000 in Europe for the base model. If similar pricing strategies are applied globally, the vehicle could become highly competitive in many markets, including Türkiye.

More details regarding specifications, equipment levels, and performance are expected to be revealed during the official launch later this summer.
