Scheduled Messages Are Coming to WhatsApp: A New Era of Planned Communication
One of the world’s most widely used messaging platforms, WhatsApp, is preparing to introduce a feature designed to enhance user experience even further. The application is currently working on a “Scheduled Messages” function that will allow users to automatically send messages at a specified date and time.
According to the information uncovered, the feature will be available in both individual and group chats. The related code strings were discovered in the iOS beta version 26.7.10.72, indicating that the feature is already in the testing phase and may be released publicly in the near future.
How Will It Work?
After composing a message, users will be able to select their preferred delivery date and time. Once the scheduled moment arrives, the system will automatically send the message to the recipient. This eliminates the need for reminders when sending birthday wishes, important notifications, or time-sensitive business messages.
Scheduled messages will also be accessible through a dedicated “Scheduled Messages” section within the chat information screen. Users will have the flexibility to edit or delete these messages before they are sent, reducing the risk of mistakes.
Greater Control and Convenience
The feature is expected to be particularly useful for users communicating across different time zones. In professional settings, it can serve as a tool for meeting reminders or announcements, while in personal life, it may help create thoughtful surprises or timely greetings.
Although no official release date has been announced, the discovery in the beta version suggests that WhatsApp is steadily moving toward a more structured and efficient messaging experience.
