A Spectacular Sky Event: Six Planets Align

On the evening of February 28, skywatchers will witness a remarkable astronomical event. Six planets of the Solar System will appear aligned along the same line in the sky from Earth’s perspective. Under favorable weather conditions, several of these planets will be visible even to the naked eye.

Astronomers recommend observing the event approximately 30 to 45 minutes after sunset. Locations with minimal light pollution and an unobstructed western horizon will offer the best viewing conditions. Moving away from city lights will significantly enhance visibility.

Although planetary alignments are not exceedingly rare, witnessing six planets in apparent alignment on the same evening presents a unique and memorable opportunity. For sky enthusiasts, February 28 promises to be a night worth watching.
