Citroën launches long-range version of the e-C3 Aircross

French automaker Citroën has expanded its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of a new long-range version of the e-C3 Aircross. Aimed at addressing drivers’ range anxiety, this enhanced model offers approximately 100 kilometers more range than its standard counterpart.

The key upgrade comes in the form of a larger battery pack. While the standard version is equipped with a 44 kWh LFP battery, the new long-range model features a net 50 kWh capacity, enabling a combined WLTP range of up to 400 kilometers. This increase significantly extends the usability of the vehicle, particularly for longer trips and daily commutes.

Charging efficiency has also been prioritized. The vehicle supports DC fast charging, allowing it to charge from 20% to 80% in just 28 minutes, providing a quick and convenient charging experience on the go.

Under the hood, the powertrain remains unchanged. Both versions come with an electric motor producing 83 kW (113 hp) and 125 Nm of torque. The top speed is electronically limited to 143 km/h, and it can tow up to 550 kg. The starting price for the long-range model is set at €30,690 in Europe.

With this launch, Citroën strengthens its position in the EV market and offers a compelling solution for those seeking an affordable yet practical long-range electric SUV.
