WhatsApp introduces 'remind me' feature to help you reply later

In our busy daily lives, it’s all too common to read a WhatsApp message, plan to respond later, and completely forget about it. To address this issue, WhatsApp is rolling out a new and practical feature in its beta version: the “Remind Me” function.

Now, users can set reminders for specific messages they want to revisit. By long-pressing a message in a chat, a new menu appears with a “Remind Me” option. From there, users can choose predefined time intervals like 2 hours, 8 hours, or 24 hours. They can also manually select a specific date and time for the reminder.

Once a reminder is set, a small bell icon appears next to the message, indicating that it has an active reminder. When the time comes, WhatsApp sends a notification that includes the message content, the name of the chat it’s in, and a media preview if applicable. This ensures the user can recall the full context of the message.

Currently, this feature is available in the Android beta version 2.25.21.14. There’s no official word yet on its release for iOS, but it's expected to be available on all platforms soon.
