Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: A slim marvel with powerful specs

After months of leaks and speculation, Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S25 Edge, a bold contender aimed directly at the upcoming iPhone 17 Air expected this fall. With its ultra-thin profile and powerful internals, the S25 Edge represents Samsung’s latest attempt to blend aesthetics with performance.

The standout feature is undoubtedly its incredible thinness at just 5.8 mm, making it one of the slimmest smartphones on the market. Weighing only 163 grams, it’s impressively lightweight too. To achieve such compactness, Samsung had to compromise on battery size, equipping the phone with a 3,900 mAh cell. Still, it supports 25W wired fast charging, reaching 55% in around 30 minutes with an official Samsung adapter (sold separately), and also includes wireless charging support.

The display is equally compelling. The 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel delivers QHD+ resolution with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, all protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2. Under the hood, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, paired with 12 GB of RAM and either 256 GB or 512 GB of internal storage.

On the back, the S25 Edge sports a 200 MP main camera with f/1.7 aperture and 2x optical-quality zoom, complemented by a 12 MP ultrawide lens with autofocus for macro photography. A 12 MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture handles selfies.

Running Android 15 with One UI 7, the S25 Edge is also IP68-certified for water and dust resistance. Built with a titanium frame, it comes in several eye-catching color options: Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Icyblue. Its dimensions are 158.2 x 75.6 x 5.8 mm, making it a true feat of design engineering.
