In the sixth race of the Formula 1 World Championship, McLaren’s talented Australian driver Oscar Piastri secured an impressive victory at the Miami Grand Prix. The event took place at the 5.4-kilometer-long Miami International Autodrome and was contested over 57 laps.
Piastri completed the race with a time of 1 hour, 28 minutes, and 51.587 seconds, earning his fourth win of the season and further cementing his status as a serious championship contender. His teammate from Great Britain, Lando Norris, followed closely behind with a gap of 4.63 seconds to claim second place. Mercedes driver George Russell finished third, trailing by over 37 seconds.
With this result, Piastri now leads the drivers' standings with 131 points, while McLaren tops the constructors’ championship with 246 points. Mercedes follows with 141 points, and Red Bull holds third place with 105 points.
The championship action will continue on May 18 with the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix in Italy, where fans are eager to see if McLaren can maintain its dominant form.
