OLED screen iPhone SE 4 to launch in 2025

Apple is reportedly planning to equip its fourth-generation iPhone SE with an OLED display, marking a significant upgrade for its budget-friendly smartphone lineup. It is said that the tech giant has already started ordering these screens from BOE and LG Display. This move indicates Apple’s shift away from LCD technology in its most affordable phone series.

New iPhone SE May Feature iPhone 14 Design

Production for the new iPhone SE is expected to begin next month, aligning with predictions for an early 2025 release. The upcoming iPhone SE is rumored to feature a larger 6.1-inch screen and share a similar design to the iPhone 14. Unlike previous models, the new iPhone SE might replace Touch ID with Face ID facial recognition technology.

Action Button and Single Rear Camera

The iPhone SE 4 is also speculated to include an “Action Button,” similar to the one introduced in the iPhone 15 Pro series, which allows users to customize functions as a shortcut key. As with previous SE models, the new version will likely maintain the trend of having a single rear camera, preserving the simplicity of the budget-friendly iPhone SE lineup.

Enhanced Performance with Apple Intelligence

Another standout feature of the iPhone SE 4 is its support for Apple’s multi-modal artificial intelligence, “Apple Intelligence.” This new technology could make the device more powerful than the iPhone 15, despite its limited 6 GB RAM. Apple Intelligence aims to optimize the device’s processing power, enhancing the overall user experience.

Significance of the OLED Transition

The switch to OLED display technology represents a substantial enhancement in visual quality, offering more vibrant colors, deeper blacks, and better energy efficiency. This change is seen as part of Apple’s strategy to elevate the quality standards even in its budget-friendly models, providing users with an upgraded screen experience.
