The European Union Commission has announced a 12% increase in Schengen visa renewal fees. With this new adjustment, the visa renewal fee for adults has risen to 90 euros, while for children aged 6-12, it has increased to 45 euros.

According to a statement from the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the EU Commission has raised the visa fees for adults to 90 euros. The fee for children aged 6-12, previously 40 euros, has been increased to 45 euros. Additionally, the EU has raised the visa fee to 135/180 euros for countries that show insufficient cooperation in accepting the return of deported individuals from member states.
When Will the New Fees Take Effect?
The new tariff will come into effect on June 11. The European Union Commission had initially announced the increase in visa fees on February 2. However, the official decision is expected to be announced this weekend. No formal statement has yet been made by the EU Commission.
