The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models, expected to be unveiled in September, continue to leak new information. Now, new details about the battery capacities of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models have emerged.
Increasing Screen Sizes and Battery Capacities
The screen sizes of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models are set to increase compared to the current models. The new iPhone 16 Pro will feature a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will sport a 6.85-inch screen. The previous models had screen sizes of 6.1 inches and 6.69 inches, respectively. This increase in size was expected to bring larger battery capacities.
According to a new leak shared on the X platform, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models will come with L-shaped batteries. The iPhone 16 Pro Max will be introduced with a 4,747mAh battery capacity, indicating a 7% increase in total capacity. The iPhone 16 Pro, on the other hand, will feature a 3,577mAh battery, which is
a 9% increase over its predecessor.
TSMC’s 3nm Process and Improved Battery Life
The iPhone 16 Pro series will utilize TSMC’s second-generation 3nm manufacturing process. This advancement could make the iPhone 16 Pro Max the model with the longest battery life in iPhone history. Given that the iPhone 15 Pro Max had an approximate battery life of 29 hours, it is anticipated that the new model will exceed 30 hours.
New Features and Enhanced Camera Sensors
According to earlier reports, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models will introduce the “Capture” button, which combines physical press and touch sensitivity, alongside significant design updates and advanced camera sensors. The iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature a 12MP tetraprism telephoto lens, a 48MP wide-angle lens, and a 48MP ultra-wide sensor. The iPhone 16 Pro will be equipped with a 5x tetraprism telephoto lens and the 48MP Sony IMX803 sensor used in the iPhone 15 Pro models.
