F1 2026 Miami GP: Antonelli Secures Third Consecutive Victory
The Miami Grand Prix delivered one of the most thrilling races of the 2026 season. Rising star Kimi Antonelli emerged victorious once again, marking his third consecutive win and strengthening his position in the championship battle.
The race began with a dramatic start as Charles Leclerc surged into the lead. Meanwhile, pole-sitter Antonelli and Max Verstappen lost ground after locking up into the first corner, with Verstappen dropping significantly down the order.
As the race unfolded, battles intensified across the grid. Antonelli briefly took the lead on lap five, but Leclerc quickly reclaimed it. Further down the field, a collision between Lewis Hamilton and Franco Colapinto added to the drama.
A Safety Car period reshaped strategies, allowing Lando Norris and Antonelli to close in. After the restart, Norris took the lead, while Antonelli battled fiercely with Leclerc for second place, eventually coming out on top.
Changing weather conditions and pit strategies added another layer of unpredictability. Oscar Piastri briefly led the race, but Antonelli regained control after pit stops.
In the closing laps, a dramatic fight for the podium unfolded between Leclerc and Piastri. A spin from Leclerc handed Piastri the final podium spot.
Antonelli crossed the finish line first, followed by Norris in second. George Russell finished fourth, while Verstappen secured fifth place.
With this victory, Antonelli has firmly established himself as the driver to beat this season, setting the stage for an intense championship battle.
