At its Paris launch event, Huawei officially unveiled the new Watch GT 6 Series, featuring the Watch GT 6 Pro and Watch GT 6 models. The latest lineup stands out with its impressive battery endurance and improved GPS precision, making it a strong contender in the smartwatch market.
Extended Battery Performance
The 41 mm standard GT 6 model delivers up to 14 days of battery life, while the 46 mm GT 6 and GT 6 Pro can last up to 21 days on a single charge. In comparison, the previous generation Watch GT 5 offered only 7 days for the 41 mm model and 14 days for the 46 mm and Pro versions. This marks a significant leap in Huawei’s power efficiency.
Enhanced GPS and Sports Features
The company claims a 20% improvement in GPS accuracy with the new series, which is especially valuable for outdoor sports enthusiasts. The Watch GT 6 Pro is also the first Huawei smartwatch to feature an advanced virtual power meter for cyclists, enabling more scientific and precise training intensity tracking. When paired with the Huawei Health app, users can monitor essential workout metrics such as cycling speed, power, and endurance.
Health Monitoring and Design
The standard GT 6 comes with the new TruSense health monitoring system, offering detailed cardiovascular reports and comprehensive wellness analysis.
In terms of design, both models maintain a similar look to their predecessors, with the Pro model standing out with more premium materials and a refined finish.
