New The Boys spin-off announced: Vought Rising brings Soldier Boy back

One of the most notable series of recent years, The Boys, is set to return with a new spin-off series. During the San Diego Comic-Con event, a new series set in The Boys universe was announced.

The Boys, which has been one of the most successful shows of recent times, expanded its universe last year with Gen V. Although the original series is set to bid farewell to viewers with its fifth season, creator Eric Kripke continues to work on expanding the universe. At the San Diego Comic-Con event, it was announced that a new series titled The Boys: Vought Rising is on the way.

Announced by Amazon Prime Video, The Boys: Vought Rising will focus on the history of Vought International and will be set in the 1950s. The series will bring back the characters Stormfront and Soldier Boy, who were introduced in the second season of the original series. Stormfront will be reprised by Aya Cash, while fan-favorite Soldier Boy will continue to be portrayed by Jensen Ackles.

The Boys: Vought Rising will revolve around a murder mystery and will shed light on the dark secrets of the universe. The series, developed in partnership with Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, does not yet have a release date, but more details are expected to emerge in the coming months. Additionally, at the SDCC event, Amazon confirmed that Soldier Boy will play a significant role in the fifth season of The Boys, which is set to air in 2026. The second season of Gen V, which will tie into the final season, will be released next year.
